The student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez is affiliated to the Society for Human Resource Management, also known as SHRM Mayagüez. Our chapter was founded in 1985, being the first student chapter in Puerto Rico. We take pride in being a part of the world's largest association devoted to the practice and enhancement of Human Resource Management. Our purpose as a student chapter is to involve our student-members into being more active, informed and further involved in today's fast paced demanding environment that is Human Resources Management.
